WorldIceland rejects restarting EU accession talks

Iceland has voted against restarting membership negotiations with the European Union. The No side won nearly 53% of the vote, compared with just over 47% for Yes, a margin of 9,500 ballots. Iceland is already in the EU single market and Schengen area; membership would add the customs union and open the way to the euro.
