WorldFresh flooding fears hamper Nepal rescue as death toll tops 730

Rescue operations for more than 3,000 people reported missing along the Nepal-Tibet Himalayan border have been hindered by the threat of further flooding. Heavy rain has raised the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers, forcing teams to retreat to safer ground. India and China have sent specialist teams to search for more than 100 workers believed trapped in hydropower tunnels in Nuwakot district. Nepal says at least 734 people have died.
