WorldEuropean restrictions on Israeli settlement goods face enforcement challenges

Several countries are taking tougher steps over Israeli settlement activity and settler violence in the occupied West Bank. Belgium has tightened import restrictions on goods from illegal Israeli settlements, while the Netherlands is preparing to ban their import, purchase and sale. Yet settlement products continue reaching European markets, sometimes through illegal or hard-to-trace channels, making enforcement increasingly difficult.
