WorldDespite ceasefire, Israeli strikes continue to kill in Gaza and the West Bank

Violence has continued in Gaza despite a ceasefire in place since October 2025. Local authorities said Israeli strikes killed several people in the enclave on August 23, while an Israeli military shooting killed a boy in the West Bank. More than 1,280 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since the truce was announced, while Israel has reported drones, balloons and kites launched toward its territory.
