WorldICC calls US sanctions a ‘flagrant attack’ on court independence

The International Criminal Court condemned Washington’s sanctions against its president, Tomoko Akane, as a “flagrant attack” on judicial independence. The United States also sanctioned Senegalese trial lawyer Abdoulaye Seye, while senior EU officials promptly voiced firm support for Akane and the ICC.
