The DRC’s worst Ebola outbreak so far is making childbirth terrifying. Pregnant women are avoiding clinics over infection fears, driving up missed prenatal visits. The UN says use of health services in the hardest-hit areas has fallen by more than 40%, while birth-related deaths in Ituri have doubled amid strikes and closures.
