PoliticsSingapore Parliament discusses ways to help young people secure stable first jobs

Singapore’s Parliament has discussed measures to help young people obtain stable first jobs. The Workers’ Party proposed expanding paid, structured apprenticeships and entry-level opportunities, saying the Economic Strategy Review gives the issue too little attention. The government responded that broadening work-based pathways is a key part of the review. It said these pathways will continue to be strengthened so young Singaporeans can build skills and gain experience.
