Emily Ashford, Standard Chartered’s head of energy research, says the oil market’s return to normal conditions will be slow. Hopes are growing that a U.S.-Iran deal could reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Ashford says the market may be looking only for a short-term release of pressure. Even so, she expects normalization in oil markets to take “a long time.”
