Russia attacked Ukraine with ballistic missiles and drones, killing at least 17 people. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said interceptor systems could have saved lives. The strike began after midnight on Wednesday and hit residential buildings, a railway station and warehouses. At least 44 people were injured, according to Zelensky. Russia’s defence ministry said it targeted logistics hubs and supply centres in Kyiv.
