WorldUruguay prepares to welcome Pope Leo XIV

Uruguay is preparing for Pope Leo XIV’s visit, the country’s first papal visit since 1988. Vendors in Montevideo are already selling Vatican flags and caps featuring the pope. Some Uruguayans hope the visit will renew interest in the Catholic Church, while others see it as a chance to put their country in the spotlight.
