TechSome ads are being used to hack devices, University of Toronto research group warns

Cybersecurity experts at the University of Toronto’s Citizen Lab warn that online ads can infect devices and record users without any interaction. The group calls the practice “ad-fection” and is examining accountability around the “zero-click” technology.
