HealthDoctor says Pope Leo has ‘one of the more treatable’ cancers

The Vatican said Pope Leo was diagnosed with lung cancer after surgery to remove a lung nodule, during which doctors removed the lower lobe of his right lung. NBC News medical contributor Dr. John Torres called lung adenocarcinoma “one of the more treatable” cancers. A treatment plan will follow further testing by the pontiff’s medical team.
