HealthStudy says doctors with disabilities need more support

A study using Canada’s 2021 long-form census data found that 5% of practicing doctors report having a disability “always or often,” while 12% say “sometimes.” Dr. Michael Quon of The Ottawa Hospital sustained a traumatic brain injury in a cycling accident at the end of his residency and described early limits on his clinical work.
