# Singapore to use the “best available” AI models for cyber defence, Shanmugam says

> Singapore will invest in evaluating different AI models to strengthen cyber defence rather than building its own, Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security K Shanmugam said Tuesday. The country will develop AI harness engineering to select models flexibly and integrate the best available ones securely with defenders’ tools, data and workflows.
