Researchers warn that AI tools are becoming increasingly common in Canadian elections but often give voters false information. About 40 per cent of voters in Quebec’s election are believed to have asked chatbots about the vote, according to McGill University researchers. Lawmakers are being urged to bring AI chatbots under Canada’s election laws.
