WorldNepal floods: Oxfam warns communities fear more monsoon disasters

At least five people are missing after a flash flood in Nepal on Sunday. A landslide near the northern border blocked a river, sending a torrent downstream that damaged bridges, hydropower plants and dozens of homes. Nepal is still recovering from severe flooding in August along its border with China. Oxfam Nepal’s humanitarian and disaster risk management lead, Santosh Pandey, says residents fear more floods may follow.
