> Israeli settlers attacked Palestinians picking olives in Birzeit in the West Bank, with residents saying tear gas was used. Violence by settlers has increased during the annual harvest, making it difficult for farmers to reach and work their land. The U.N. recorded more than 1,600 attacks causing casualties or property damage from January through August 2026.
