EconomyUS authorises release of up to 4 million barrels of emergency oil after Hurricane Isaias

The US Department of Energy authorised an emergency exchange of up to 4 million barrels of crude from its reserves, saying Hurricane Isaias disrupted supply. The storm reached Category 3, with winds up to 208km/h, then weakened to a post-tropical cyclone after making landfall near Destin on Saturday. At least four people died, and tens of thousands in several states, including Georgia and Florida, remain without power.
