WorldNavi Pillay receives Peace Prize after a lifetime fighting for justice and human rights

The programme welcomes Rosa Freedman, a University of Reading professor of law, conflict and global development, to discuss Navi Pillay. Pillay’s career has contributed substantially to international law and human rights, from pioneering work in post-apartheid South Africa to her role at the United Nations. Her legacy also raises difficult questions about political impartiality, particularly over Israel and Gaza.
