> Labour defeated the Greens in the Holborn and St Pancras byelection, a result that reassures Andy Burnham and weakens Zack Polanski’s standing as a major force on the British left. In an emotional victory speech, winner Sagal Abdi-Wali said her commitment to the constituency ran deep. The defeat caps a turbulent week for the Greens.
