# Morocco and Senegal await final verdict in AFCON title appeal

> The Court of Arbitration for Sport held a long-awaited hearing in Lausanne on Thursday over Senegal’s appeal of the decision to award Morocco this year’s Africa Cup of Nations title. Senegal had won the match in Rabat ten months earlier, but the Confederation of African Football later overturned the result after Senegal’s players left the pitch in protest mid-game and returned. The three-judge panel is expected to rule soon.
