> Taiwan’s representative to the United States, Yu Da-lei, told VOA that ties with Washington remain unchanged after the Trump-Xi meeting. He discussed US policy toward Taiwan and cross-strait tensions, arguing that even if the Chinese Communist Party controlled Taiwan, it could not obtain TSMC’s advanced chips. He also accused it of claiming credit for the Flying Tigers and mentioned plans for F-16Vs to arrive in Taiwan and for President Lai Ching-te to transit the United States.
