Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney called the third anniversary of Hamas’s deadly attack on an Israeli festival “a sombre anniversary of an unspeakable tragedy.” About 1,200 people were killed and 251 taken captive. He cited Canada’s $75 million in funding for protective measures and legislation, including Bill C-9, to combat antisemitism and protect Jewish communities.
