> Christa Pike, who survived a failed execution at a US prison last week, is now conscious and able to speak, her lawyers said Tuesday, though her prognosis remains unclear. She was sentenced to death for a murder committed as a teenager and received two supposedly lethal doses of pentobarbital at a Tennessee prison a week ago.
