> Lithuania’s lawmakers have approved a plan to remove the constitutional ban on hosting nuclear weapons, beginning the amendment process despite threats from Russia. The Kremlin has warned it would target Lithuania with nuclear weapons if warheads were stationed there. The vote came a day after President Donald Trump said he was open to a permanent US military base in Lithuania.
