> The International Olympic Committee says Qatar and India are among seven countries seeking to host the 2036 Olympics. Qatar is pursuing another major global sporting event four years after the World Cup, while a successful bid could require moving the Games outside the usual July-August period because of extreme Gulf summer heat.
