Tens of thousands are demonstrating across France over what they describe as under-investment in high schools. Some protests have turned violent, with clashes between demonstrators and authorities. Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu said burning schools or lynching teachers would not improve facilities or replace staff, and called claims that the government ordered “police repression” a “lie”.
