> Conservative Senator Flavio Bolsonaro unexpectedly finished ahead of incumbent left-wing President Lula in Brazil’s first-round presidential vote on Sunday. They will face each other in the October 25 runoff. Suspicions of US interference have shadowed the campaign, while Donald Trump has openly shown his closeness to Bolsonaro’s father and hostility toward Lula da Silva.
