> Yemen’s government has launched an operation to retake territory held by the Ansar Allah Houthi rebel force and restore full control of the country. The Iran-backed group seized large areas along the Red Sea coast over the past month. Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Pakistan have met to discuss the conflict, testing their joint defence pact signed in August.
