WorldRussia strikes Ukrainian bridge as German Chancellor Merz visits Kyiv

Russia has used drone strikes to hit major bridges in Kyiv for four consecutive days as Moscow intensifies attacks on critical infrastructure in the Ukrainian capital. Two people were injured when the Pivnichnyi, or Northern, Bridge was struck on Sunday morning for a second straight day. The Pivdennyi, or Southern, Bridge was also hit several times earlier in the week, as German Chancellor Friedrich Merz made a surprise visit to Kyiv to show support for Ukraine against Russia’s continuing aggression.
