> Twelve candidates are on Brazil’s presidential ballot, but the contest is focused on two rivals: President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, seeking a fourth and final term, and senator Flavio Bolsonaro. Lula says Brazil’s sovereignty is at stake amid pressure from Donald Trump, while Bolsonaro points to his White House ties and calls for better US deals, including over rare mineral resources.
