EconomyG7 releases 100 million barrels of oil. Will it bring fuel prices down?
G7 countries have agreed to release 100 million barrels of diesel and crude oil from emergency reserves to try to curb soaring global fuel prices. The release starts immediately and will last four months, with a large volume of diesel expected to reach the market within the first 20 days. The move follows US pressure on European countries to tap their reserves, alongside the prospect of restrictions on US diesel exports.
