> New York Governor Kathy Hochul said Thursday that she issued an executive order appointing Attorney General Letitia James as special prosecutor for an alleged “gang rape” at a Cornell fraternity in 2024. Hochul said newly released information continues to raise serious questions about the Cornell Police Department’s investigation and the Tompkins County district attorney’s decision not to prosecute.
