> Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced in Fort McMurray that the government has officially designated the West Coast Pipeline, now called Pacific Link, as a project of national interest. He said the pipeline would bring an additional one million barrels a day from Alberta’s oil sands to the West Coast and strengthen Canada’s image as a trusted energy supplier.
