> Thousands of protesters camped in Madrid’s main square and in other Spanish cities, calling on parliament to quickly approve measures to protect tenants and curb the country’s acute housing crisis. The protests were sparked last week by the eviction of an 87-year-old woman from the Madrid home where she had lived for more than seven decades.
