> Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Wednesday that the United States has reduced the number of generals and admirals by 20%, presenting the move as an accountability measure. He suggested the cuts affected officers who did not support his push for a war-focused military rather than the “woke” policies of previous administrations, calling the reductions an “accomplishment.”
