WorldEx-TV anchor crowned Uganda king after succession dispute

Former television news anchor Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma was crowned king of Uganda’s Tooro Kingdom on Tuesday, becoming the 13th monarch of the Batooro people. The ritual-filled coronation ended a succession feud triggered by the death of King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, aged 34, with his mother claiming a previously undisclosed son was entitled to the throne.
