TechTrump says he and AI leaders signed a 'morally binding' AI agreement

US President Donald Trump said AI companies should largely regulate themselves, citing “tremendous self-policing” in the industry. Meeting technology executives on Tuesday, he said his administration was considering a supervisory committee. Executives from Nvidia, Meta, Alphabet and Anthropic also discussed balancing AI innovation with safety after companies signed a White House accord on internal controls and independent evaluation.
