# New satellite images reveal vast destruction across Gaza

> New satellite imagery shows the scale of destruction caused by Israel’s war on Gaza, with the remains of neighbourhoods visible from space. In some areas, devastation extends four kilometres and has grown during what was supposed to be a ceasefire. The UN Satellite Centre estimated in August that destroyed structures had risen by 9 percent since a US-brokered truce nearly a year earlier.
