WorldParts of Bangkok remain knee-deep in water as Thailand flood death toll reaches 23

Thailand’s flood death toll has risen to 23, including at least four people in Bangkok, where about 700,000 residents have been affected. Floodwaters in eastern Bangkok are expected to recede within days, but Lat Krabang remains badly hit as canal levels stay high. Early estimates place the economic damage at about US$350 million, though Governor Chadchart Sittipunt says the true cost may be higher.
