WorldUN official says Haiti’s anti-gang force set to nearly triple

More than a year after the UN Security Council authorised a multinational force to suppress gangs in Haiti, only about 1,600 personnel are deployed, well below the planned 5,500. Daniela Kroslak of the UN Support Office in Haiti says that figure is expected to nearly triple in the coming months.
