According to a Mother Jones report, the mass shooter who killed eight people in Tumbler Ridge, B.C., in February used a second ChatGPT account to seek advice on bypassing safety guardrails after her first account was blocked. Reporter Mark Follman says using OpenAI’s chatbot to obtain information, create violent scenarios and evade safeguards can have a severe psychological impact on troubled and vulnerable users.
