Society‘Dreams never die’: Sudanese refugee struggles as aid cuts hit Kenya

Funding shortages at the United Nations and reduced aid contributions are forcing humanitarian agencies to scale back, leaving refugees with less support. In Kenya’s Kakuma Refugee Camp, Sudanese refugee Pang Ismail says the cuts have harmed her livelihood and family. She first arrived there in 2011, later returned to Sudan to study physiotherapy, and was displaced again by the war that began in 2023.
