The EU has sealed a trade deal with the Philippines as it seeks to diversify beyond China and the United States. Trade Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič said the agreement would give European businesses access to a market of 113 million consumers and reinforce the bloc’s strategy of pursuing trade deals across the region.
