The UK government says a British tanker aircraft will provide “defensive” air-to-air refuelling for Saudi warplanes as the country responds to a recent increase in Houthi drone and missile attacks. The support follows a Saudi request for military assistance as the Houthis mount a rapid offensive to seize Yemen’s Red Sea coast.
