Fresh clashes with Houthi forces in the western countryside of Yemen’s Taiz province have driven more than 86,000 people from their homes. Taiz city, under blockade since 2015 and short of resources, is taking in most of the displaced. Many families—especially women, children and older people—have been uprooted repeatedly, prompting calls for urgent international humanitarian action.
