Sylvia Zin, wife of Myanmar-born American scholar Min Zin, whom the U.S. State Department has determined was unlawfully detained in China, told VOA that he valued exchanges with Chinese scholars aimed at helping address problems in Myanmar. She said this was why he accepted an invitation to attend an academic conference in China, and conveyed: “We love you; we’re waiting for you at home.”
