WorldGreenland deal gives US what it already had

Donald Trump says a new agreement with Denmark and Greenland gives the United States “permanent control” over Greenland’s security. Denmark says the deal preserves its sovereignty, territorial integrity and Greenlanders’ right to self-determination. It could significantly expand the US military presence while blocking adversary bases and restricting sensitive investment.
