SocietyFormer Singapore migrant worker who survived workplace explosion builds school in Bangladesh

A workplace explosion in Singapore left former migrant worker Mohammad Ataur Rahman with third-degree burns covering 73% of his body. A decade later, he has used his compensation to build a school in Bangladesh for up to 400 children, including those unable to pay fees. He hopes to turn part of it into a training centre for aspiring migrant workers, teaching English and workplace safety.
