Health'Mutilated': The women subjected to unnecessary mastectomies

Denise is among at least 20 women told they underwent unnecessary mastectomies at an NHS trust in north-east England. More than 300 patients in County Durham have been harmed, thousands of cases may be reviewed, and police are investigating. The trust’s chief executive called the removals “utterly unacceptable” and apologised “unreservedly”.
